Job Requirements

  • Availability to work part-time with flexible day shifts
  • Willingness to attend required staff meetings and training sessions
  • Must live within a commutable distance to NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital
  • Ability to adhere to hospital policies and safety guidelines
  • Prior experience in cleaning or housekeeping preferred

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience in industrial cleaning, environmental services or housekeeping work preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks efficiently
  • Ability to work cooperatively with patients, staff and visitors
  • Basic knowledge of safety standards and procedures

Job Duties

  • Maintain assigned hospital areas in a sanitary, orderly and attractive manner
  • Perform simple, repetitive housekeeping tasks
  • Deliver warm smiles and friendly conversations to patients, visitors, and staff
  • Attend monthly staff meetings and various in-service sessions
  • Participate in annual safety meetings and performance appraisal interviews
  • Engage with patients and employees to ensure a welcoming environment
  • Follow hospital policies and procedures related to cleanliness and safety
