Job Requirements
- Active cosmetology license
- availability to work full or part time including peak hours
- willingness to learn and develop behind-the-chair skills
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- good manual dexterity and physical stamina
- strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- fluency in English
Job Qualifications
- Active cosmetology license in the state of application
- entry-level experience in customer service or retail sales, salon or beauty industry experience preferred
- effective communication and strong problem-solving skills in fast-paced retail or salon environments
- comfort operating point of sale systems
- fluency in English
Job Duties
- Demonstrate and develop teamwork skills to provide a guest experience aligned with company values
- perform behind-the-chair services including shampooing, conditioning, styling, blowouts, hot tool styling, treatment, toner, and add-on product application per guest request
- contribute to achieving monthly sales goals and key performance indicators such as retail sales, services, and memberships
- ensure the Hair Color Bar meets company standards regarding cleanliness, merchandising, inventory, and asset security
- adhere to protocols for Madison Reed systems, policies, processes, and procedures
- drive Hair Color Bar revenue by upselling additional services, memberships, subscriptions, and home hair care products
- proactively learn and complete Assistant Colorist to Colorist training including mastering color theory and application skills
