Job Qualifications
- Active cosmetology license in the state of employment
- entry-level experience in customer service or retail sales preferred
- salon or beauty industry experience a plus
- effective communication skills
- strong problem solving and interpersonal skills
- ability to work in a fast-paced retail or salon environment
- comfortable with point of sale systems
- fluency in English
Job Duties
- Demonstrate and develop teamwork skills aligned with company values
- perform behind-the-chair services including shampooing, conditioning, styling, blowouts, hot tool styling, treatments, toners, and add-on product application
- contribute to achieving monthly sales goals including retail sales, services, and memberships
- maintain cleanliness, merchandising standards, inventory control, and company asset security
- adhere to Madison Reed systems, policies, processes, and procedures
- increase Hair Color Bar revenue through upselling services, memberships, and products
- proactively engage in Assistant Colorist to Colorist training including mastering color theory and application skills
