Job Requirements
- Must hold an active cosmetology license for the applicable state
- Entry level customer service or retail experience
- Ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Competence with point of sale technology
- Willingness to learn and develop cosmetology skills
- Availability during peak business hours
- Must be able to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, lifting up to ten pounds
Job Qualifications
- Active cosmetology license in the state of application
- Entry level experience in customer service or retail sales, with salon or beauty industry preferred
- Effective communication skills
- Strong problem solving and people skills
- Comfortable operating point of sale systems
- Fluency in English
Job Duties
- Demonstrate and develop teamwork skills to provide a guest experience aligned with company values
- Perform behind-the-chair services such as assisting in finishing services and shampooing and conditioning, styling, blowouts, hot tool styling, treatment and toner services, and add on product application
- Contribute to achieving monthly sales goals and key performance indicators including retail sales, services, and memberships
- Ensure Hair Color Bar meets company standards in cleanliness, merchandising, inventory, and asset security
- Adhere to protocols regarding Madison Reed systems, policies, processes and procedures
- Drive Hair Color Bar revenue by increasing average service ticket through additional services, memberships, subscriptions, and home hair care sales
- Participate actively in Colorist to Colorist Training by learning color theory and developing behind the chair application skills
