Job Requirements
- Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
- Two to five years related aviation experience or equivalent combination
- Commercial pilot license with instrument rating
- Hold FAA ATP rating in the category
- Maintain weight not to exceed 250 pounds
- Be under 70 years of age
- Maintain currency with relevant flight hours
- Must pass FAA first or second-class medical
- Ability to perform physical and operational tasks required of flight crew
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to comply with company safety policies and participate in outreach programs
Job Qualifications
- Commercial pilot with valid instrument rating for the category and class of aircraft
- ATP rating in the relevant category meets requirements
- Minimum 2000 total flight hours with at least 1500 hours in category
- Minimum 1000 hours PIC in category
- Minimum 500 hours rotor wing turbine time
- Minimum 200 hours cross-country flight including at least 50 night hours
- Minimum 100 hours unaided night as PIC or 50 hours unaided with 100 hours NVG time
- Minimum 50 hours actual or hood instrument time in flight and in category
- First or second-class FAA medical certificate
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Experience flying commercially or in military within the last 24 months
- Maintain positive interpersonal relationships with colleagues and partners
- Ability to perform essential flight duties satisfactorily
Job Duties
- Operate Air Methods' aircraft safely and legally
- Complete pre-flight inspections and verify airworthiness with Daily Flight Log sign-off
- Conduct thorough walk-around inspections before and after each flight
- Maintain detailed knowledge of aircraft and medical systems and ensure crew familiarity
- Perform detailed flight planning with little notice
- Participate in company meetings, activities, projects, and community outreach
- Prioritize safety and adhere to all operational procedures
