Job Duties

  • Prepare, process, and pack various meat products such as pork, beef and chicken items
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of all the meat products according to food safety guidelines
  • Package and label meat products properly according to company guidelines including merchandising of the meat products in a fresh and appealing manner
  • Check for quality, maintain shelves clean and well stocked, rotate and remove out-of-date products, and perform other duties as assigned
  • Clean, filet, and prepare a variety of seafood products
  • Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, offering assistance and answering questions
  • Package seafood products adhering to portion sizes and weight requirements
  • Create visually appealing displays of seafood products
  • Unload, sort, and organize items in the designated storage areas
  • Regularly check expiration dates and generate labels with accurate price and organize them in the right place at all times
  • Implement a first-in, first-out system to ensure older products are utilized first
  • Maintain correct signage for promotional grocery items
  • Use aisle gun to scan and track inventory
  • Merchandise produce items in a fresh and appealing manner
  • Handle root vegetables carefully, ensuring proper storage, handling, and display techniques
  • Continuously expand knowledge of different techniques to maintain quality and freshness of the products
  • Manage displays of UPC products, such as tofu, salad, and nuts
  • Plan and execute display changes based on season, time and date
  • Prepare and make various meals and dishes according to standardized recipes and guidelines
  • Regularly monitor and rotate food items to ensure freshness and quality
  • Clean and sanitize food preparation areas, cooking equipment, and utensils regularly to maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Assist with customer’s questions and help as needed
  • Regularly monitor the parking lot for loose grocery carts and return them to appropriate bays
  • Assist customers with general questions and help them by loading groceries to their vehicle as needed
  • Provide assistance to the cashier by bagging the customers shopping items
  • Maintain all areas clean including collecting and removing trash and recyclables, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors, restrooms and break areas, replenishing supplies
  • Perform other operational support duties and tasks including special cleaning duties as assigned
  • Work closely with employees to provide every customer with a satisfied and safe shopping experience
  • Place wet floor signs or caution signs to alert customers and colleagues of potential hazards
  • Take immediate action to clear and clean up water spills to prevent slip and fall hazards
  • Maintain accurate records of houseware inventory within the store
  • Assist in the ordering process for houseware items
  • Assist customer issues and complaints and ensure customers are satisfied
  • Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with inquiries
  • Conduct face-to-face sales interactions with customers effectively demonstrating features and benefits of houseware products
  • Perform all cash register functions such as greeting customers, scanning and ringing up items correctly, processing payments, issuing receipts
  • Maintain proficiency with item codes and PLUs
  • Handle all cash, credit, and debit card transactions with accuracy
  • Perform all opening, shift changing and closing duties while keeping the area clean and organized
  • Assist with bagging items and customer inquiries as needed
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting with products and services
  • Assist with sorting paperwork such as invoices, sales orders, item data
  • Assist customer issues and complaints and ensure customers are satisfied
  • Follow company policies and procedures on refunds, redeeming smart card points rewards, and overall cash handling
  • Perform other customer service related duties as assigned
