Job Duties
- Prepare, process, and pack meat products such as pork, beef, and chicken
- Ensure proper handling and storage of meat products according to food safety guidelines
- Package and label meat products following company guidelines
- Merchandise meat products in a fresh and appealing manner
- Check for product quality, maintain clean and stocked shelves, rotate and remove outdated products
- Clean, filet, and prepare seafood products
- Greet customers and offer assistance in seafood department
- Package seafood products adhering to portion sizes and weight requirements
- Create visually appealing seafood displays
- Unload, sort, and organize grocery items in storage
- Check expiration dates regularly and label items accurately
- Implement first-in, first-out system for grocery products
- Maintain signage for promotional grocery items
- Use aisle gun to scan and track inventory
- Merchandise produce items freshly and appealingly
- Handle root vegetables with proper storage and display techniques
- Expand knowledge of produce quality and freshness techniques
- Manage UPC product displays such as tofu, salad, and nuts
- Plan and execute seasonal produce display changes
- Prepare meals in RTC department following standardized recipes
- Monitor and rotate RTC food items to ensure freshness
- Clean and sanitize cooking areas and utensils regularly
- Assist customers with inquiries in RTC area
- Monitor parking lot for grocery carts and return them
- Assist customers with general questions and loading groceries
- Bag customer items and assist cashiers
- Maintain cleanliness in all store areas including restrooms and breakrooms
- Perform trash removal, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming
- Place wet floor and caution signs to alert hazards
- Take immediate action to clean spills and prevent accidents
- Maintain accurate houseware inventory records
- Assist in ordering houseware items
- Handle customer issues and complaints in houseware area
- Provide customer service and demonstrate houseware products
- Perform cash register functions including transactions and bagging
- Maintain proficiency with item codes and PLUs
- Perform opening, shift changes, and closing duties
- Provide excellent customer service and assist with product and service inquiries
- Assist with paperwork such as invoices and sales orders
- Follow company policies on refunds, smart card points, and cash handling
- Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to positive work environment
- Adapt to changing store procedures and customer needs
