Job Duties
- Prepare, process, and pack various meat products such as pork, beef and chicken items
- ensure proper handling and storage of all meat products according to food safety guidelines
- package and label meat products according to company guidelines including merchandising in a fresh and appealing manner
- check for quality, maintain shelves clean and well stocked, rotate and remove out-of-date products
- clean, filet, and prepare a variety of seafood products
- greet customers in a friendly and professional manner offering assistance and answering questions
- package seafood products adhering to portion sizes and weight requirements
- create visually appealing displays of seafood products
- unload, sort, and organize items in designated storage areas
- regularly check expiration dates and generate labels with accurate pricing
- implement a first-in, first-out inventory system
- maintain correct signage for promotional grocery items
- use aisle gun to scan and track inventory
- merchandise produce in fresh and appealing manner
- handle root vegetables with proper storage and display techniques
- continuously expand knowledge of produce quality and freshness techniques
- manage displays of UPC products such as tofu, salad, and nuts
- plan and execute seasonal display changes
- prepare and make meals according to standardized recipes and guidelines
- regularly monitor and rotate RTC food items to ensure freshness
- clean and sanitize food preparation areas and equipment
- assist with customer questions and needs
- monitor parking lot for loose carts and return them
- assist customers with general inquiries and grocery loading
- assist cashiers by bagging shopping items
- maintain cleanliness including trash removal, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming
- perform special cleaning duties as assigned
- place wet floor and caution signs to alert customers of hazards
- take immediate action to clean spills to prevent accidents
- maintain houseware inventory records
- assist in ordering houseware items
- handle customer inquiries and complaints related to houseware
- conduct face-to-face sales interactions demonstrating product features and benefits
- perform cash register functions including greeting customers, scanning items, processing payments, and issuing receipts
- maintain proficiency with item codes and handling cash, credit, and debit transactions
- perform opening, shift changing, and closing duties
- provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers
- sort paperwork including invoices and sales orders
- follow company policies on refunds and cash handling
- perform other customer service related duties and tasks as assigned
