Job Duties
- Prepare, process, and pack various meat products
- Ensure proper handling and storage of meat products
- Package and label meat products according to guidelines
- Merchandise meat products in an appealing manner
- Check product quality and maintain clean, stocked shelves
- Rotate and remove out-of-date grocery products
- Perform cleaning and operational duties as assigned
- Clean, filet, and prepare seafood products
- Greet customers and offer assistance
- Package seafood products adhering to portion sizes
- Create appealing seafood displays
- Unload, sort, and organize grocery items
- Check expiration dates and generate accurate labels
- Implement first-in, first-out inventory system
- Maintain correct signage for promotions
- Scan and track inventory using aisle gun
- Merchandize produce items fresh and appealingly
- Handle root vegetables with care
- Expand knowledge of produce techniques
- Manage displays of UPC products
- Plan seasonal display changes
- Prepare meals according to recipes
- Monitor and rotate ready-to-cook items for freshness
- Clean and sanitize preparation areas and utensils
- Assist customers with inquiries
- Monitor parking lot for loose shopping carts
- Assist customers loading groceries
- Bag customer shopping items
- Perform cleaning duties including trash removal and floor care
- Place caution signs for hazards
- Maintain houseware inventory records
- Assist with ordering houseware items
- Handle customer issues and complaints
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Demonstrate and sell houseware products
- Operate cash register and process payments
- Maintain proficiency with item codes
- Perform opening, shift change and closing duties
- Assist with bagging items
- Provide excellent customer service
- Handle paperwork such as invoices and sales orders
