Job Requirements
- High school diploma, GED or comparable experience preferred
- previous cash handling/customer service experience preferred
Job Qualifications
- Must be able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
- must be a team player
- good oral communication skills including tact when dealing with difficult customers
- must communicate in English to respond to guests
- must maintain a neat, well-groomed, professional appearance
- able to be on feet for entire shift
- ability to constantly lift up to 30 lbs, frequently lift up to 60 lbs
- ability to push/pull carts weighing up to 90 lbs
- mobility to move quickly and easily throughout the restaurant and kitchen areas
- ability to grasp, finger dexterity, hand-eye coordination
- ability to hear and use visual inspection
- ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach and climb stairs
Job Duties
- Interact with guests and co-workers in a helpful, positive, upbeat, and professional manner
- deliver orders to guests
- bus and clean dining area
- remove dirty dishes, glassware, and flatware from tables and countertops
- transport items to dish area
- maneuver carts in confined spaces
- monitor and replenish all food and beverage products in work area by stocking counters
- change out pop bibs as needed throughout shift
- ensure work area is neat, clean, and sanitized by wiping counters, beverage stations, sinks, and floors
- partner with culinary team to ensure coordinated workflow during shift
- maintain all equipment in proper fashion
- recognize Diamond and Seven Stars guests and provide appropriate service
- promote current hotel and casino events and give guests directions
- adhere to regulatory, safety, departmental, and company policies
- support safety and accident prevention programs
- meet or exceed State of Mississippi and Horseshoe sanitation requirements
- present oneself as a credit to the company
- perform all other related duties as assigned
