Job Requirements

  • Ability to work shifts during various operating days and hours each week
  • during opening, busy day parts, and closing to monitor associate work activities
  • knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local sanitary, safety, and health standards
  • compliance with HACCP standards
  • availability for varied and rotating schedule including some opening and closing shifts
  • ability to speak and comprehend instructions in English
  • physical and mental capability to perform required duties
  • legal authorization to work in the designated country

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 years food and beverage, cash handling, and customer service experience
  • minimum of 4 years supervisory or lead experience in a casual dine restaurant or production kitchen
  • ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents
  • ability to converse comfortably with customers
  • strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • knowledge of financial and operational data analysis
  • understanding of safety, health, and sanitary standards
  • excellent organizational and problem-solving skills

Job Duties

  • Completes opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists in accordance with company policies/procedures
  • assists the GM/F&B Multi Unit Manager I in supervising day-to-day activities of associates
  • interviews job candidates and makes hiring, termination, advancement, promotion or other status decisions
  • promotes HMSHost as an employer of choice within the local community
  • reads and understands financial and operational data and reports to monitor progress towards unit goals and assigns associates accordingly
  • manages day-to-day activities of associates within a defined individual or group of restaurants or points-of-sale
  • ensures company and branch diversity and inclusion philosophy is executed
  • resolves customer and associate questions and problems, referring complex issues to senior leaders
  • ensures compliance with all company adult beverage policies and procedures
  • assigns work tasks, prepares schedules, and ensures all shifts are covered
  • ensures associates take mandated rest breaks and meal periods
  • ensures display areas are clean, stocked and visually appealing
  • ensures all equipment is in good working order
  • operates cash register and voids transactions as needed while following cash handling policies
  • monitors compliance with wellness and safety procedures and reports safety concerns
  • understands and performs health and safety activities as specified in the Manager's Guide
  • places orders for units, receives goods, and processes invoices
  • maintains up-to-date contact information for all associates working in the restaurant
