Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years experience in restaurant or food and beverage management
- Ability to lead and manage a team
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Knowledge of gaming commission regulations
- Familiarity with hospitality industry standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly
- Excellent customer service skills
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- College degree preferred
- Two years in high volume full service restaurant management
- One to two years experience in casino restaurant management preferred
- Five years food and beverage experience with at least three years in management preferred
- Proven track record in business management, purchasing, and recordkeeping
- Proficiency with computer software including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Familiarity with financial data and cost control techniques
- Experience in budgeting, business plans, and training program development
- Project management experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to perform mathematical computations accurately and quickly
- Capability to analyze data for reports and work with POS systems
- Physical ability to maneuver in all restaurant areas and lift up to twenty pounds
- Ability to work in fast-paced and stressful environments
- Effective communication skills in English specific to job duties
Job Duties
- Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission regulations and Seminole Tribe of Florida departmental policies and procedures
- Adhere to Seminole Tribe's policies and procedures
- Identify and define business needs and implement operational improvements
- Manage financial demands of the department based on the budget
- Work with manual and automated systems including POS management
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements and internal policies
- Collaborate with Chef and direct controls for restaurant operations
- Assist with menu item changes based on product mix and guest feedback
- Organize group activities, retail tracking, and inventory
- Review reservations and daily event reports
- Conduct daily inspections of the Beach Club, pool deck, cabanas, and jacuzzis for cleanliness and maintenance
- Respond promptly to emails, requests, and tasks
- Report maintenance issues to engineering and follow up
- Review departmental logbooks for concerns
- Support casino operations by providing outstanding service to VIP guests during events
- Develop and implement cost control procedures
- Address and resolve customer complaints promptly
- Counsel, guide, train, and instruct team members
- Manage staff scheduling according to business demands
- Conduct daily pre-shift and monthly departmental meetings
- Promote responsible gaming and alcohol service
- Perform hiring, coaching, appraisal, and retention of direct reports
- Use Microsoft Excel and Word proficiently
- Perform other duties as assigned
