Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years experience in a specialty medical practice preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Experience with multi-line telephone system, personal computers, and other office equipment required
- Ability to rotate between Anchorage, Eagle River, and Palmer locations
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Job Qualifications
- 1+ years experience in a specialty medical practice preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
- Experience with medical pre-authorizations preferred
- Experience with multi-line telephone system, personal computers, and other common office equipment required
- Rotations to Anchorage and Eagle River locations and regular attendance are absolute requirements
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
Job Duties
- Master reception duties to create a welcoming first impression
- Manage patient scheduling and appointment coordination
- Handle patient registration and verify insurance information
- Collect co-payments and deductibles accurately
- Answer and direct incoming telephone calls efficiently
- Rotate between Anchorage, Eagle River, and Palmer locations as required
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor with all patients
