Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ability to stand for eight hour shifts
- ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
- proficiency with computer systems
- valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
- ability to work long hours and flexible schedules
- strong communication skills
- ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- physical ability to perform required duties including climbing, stooping, and kneeling
- willingness to travel locally as needed
Job Qualifications
- Previous hospitality experience preferred but not required
- any combination of education and experience equivalent to high school diploma
- ability to read, understand, and interpret information in reports and hotel systems
- ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English
- sufficient mathematical skills to calculate room revenue and balance cash bank
- thorough knowledge of front office operations, guest relations, and service standards
- ability to train staff and solve problems effectively
- ability to manage multiple tasks in stressful environments
- strong judgment in guest and operational matters
Job Duties
- Represent hotel in a professional and courteous manner
- check guests in and out in a timely and efficient manner
- ensure reservations are taken correctly and courteously
- be proficient in computer operating systems
- be available at all times to deal with guest issues professionally
- notify General Manager or equivalent immediately of any guest, employee, or cash concerns
- supervise property staff as needed
- ensure compliance of safety and security standards
- report to the Regional Operations Manager in General Manager absence
- be responsible for bank deposits in General Manager absence
- identify and follow up on life/safety and inspection issues
- notify General Manager or equivalent immediately of any safety or security policy violations
- keep desk and office areas clean and neat
- handle administrative duties as assigned
- ensure property is always clean and free of trash and debris
