Job Requirements
- High school diploma or secondary qualification or equivalent
- Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham or Hyatt processes and standards
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
- Must be able to read and write to facilitate communication
- Requires good verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computational ability
- Basic computer skills
- Extensive knowledge of hotel services and facilities
- General knowledge of the local city and attractions
- Ability to stand and move for up to 4 hours
- Ability to lift up to 15 lbs occasionally
- Capacity for repetitive motions and physical activities such as bending and climbing
- Ability to talk, hear, and have visual acuity continuously
- Manual dexterity to operate office equipment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or secondary qualification
- Experience working in hospitality, preferably with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham or Hyatt
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Proficient computer skills
- Knowledge of hotel operations and guest service standards
- Ability to handle cash and credit transactions accurately
- Familiarity with safety and security procedures
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
- Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Positive attitude and customer service orientation
- Flexibility to work various shifts including nights and weekends
Job Duties
- Greet and welcome guests upon arrival
- Register guests verifying reservation, address, and credit information
- Promote preferred guest program and provide recognition and benefits
- Accept payments at registration and checkout
- Maintain house bank and complete daily deposits and reports
- Handle guest complaints promptly and professionally
- Answer telephone inquiries politely and efficiently
- Take accurate reservations
- Perform efficient check-ins and check-outs
- Assist with shuttle or transportation services if applicable
- Assist guests with luggage
- Use guests' names personally
- Provide knowledgeable information about hotel and local area
- Manage messages, wake-up calls, mail, and faxes
- Assist with laundry and dry cleaning requests
- Identify incoming VIPs
- Follow all standard operating procedures
- Undertake other assignments as directed by General Manager
- Maintain positive and professional conduct
- Support and communicate effectively with co-workers
- Manage time and tasks efficiently
- Communicate relevant information to departments
- Respond positively to feedback and new ideas
- Maintain effective communication through meetings and logs
- Assist other departments during emergencies
- Adhere to company policies and safety standards
- Handle and account for keys properly
- Knowledgeable about emergency procedures and security
- Promote room sales including upgrades and amenities
- Understand franchise honors program
- Verify all reservation information thoroughly
- Retrieve proper approvals for payments
- Record special billing instructions
- Complete shift closing accurately
- Stay updated on hotel developments and sales opportunities
