Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
  • ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • basic math proficiency for handling transactions
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • reliable transportation to the workplace

Job Qualifications

  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • excellent organization and multitasking abilities
  • dependable and professional work ethic
  • attention to detail especially in financial transactions and record-keeping
  • experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred
  • knowledge of hotel software systems is a plus

Job Duties

  • Warmly welcome and assist guests during check-in and check-out
  • manage reservations and accurately process room charges, taxes, My Store purchases, and pet fees
  • serve as a knowledgeable resource for hotel amenities, local attractions, restaurants, shopping, and churches
  • address guest concerns promptly and professionally
  • operate the phone system with proper etiquette
  • take and transfer calls, manage wake-up calls, and record messages accurately
  • process credit card authorizations, handle cash transactions, and issue change accurately
  • maintain organized daily records including Night Audit Checklists, cash logs, and call logs
  • update the Front Desk Log and promptly report issues to the General Manager
  • follow all safety protocols
  • regularly inspect the property including floors, stairwells, doors, and lighting
  • promote the Stay Rewarded loyalty program to build guest satisfaction and return business
  • assist with laundry, stocking, sanitizing public areas, preparing coffee stations
  • help ensure entrances and sidewalks are clear of snow and ice
  • deliver additional guest supplies and assist housekeeping with room cleaning during high occupancy
