Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • proficiency in computer systems relevant to front office operations
  • valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
  • ability to stand for 8-hour shifts
  • ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds occasionally
  • ability to communicate clearly and efficiently in English
  • flexible availability to work long and varied hours
  • physical capability for indoor work and extended use of hands for keyboard and phone
  • willingness to travel locally as assigned
  • knowledge of safety and security compliance

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous hospitality experience preferred
  • ability to read, understand, and interpret information in reports and internal hotel documents
  • ability to communicate effectively in speaking and writing
  • sufficient mathematical skills for revenue and cash balancing
  • thorough knowledge of front office and related department operations and service standards
  • ability to train staff and apply effective problem-solving techniques
  • strong judgment and flexibility to work long hours
  • capacity to manage multiple activities and stressful situations
  • effective guest and operational problem resolution skills

Job Duties

  • Represent hotel in a professional and courteous manner
  • check guests in and out in a timely and efficient manner
  • ensure reservations are taken correctly and courteously
  • be proficient in computer operating system
  • be available at all times to deal with guest issues professionally
  • notify General Manager or equivalent immediately of any guest, employee, or cash concerns
  • supervise property staff as needed
  • ensure compliance of safety and security standards
  • report to the Regional Operations Manager in General Manager absence
  • responsible for bank deposits in General Manager absence
  • identify and follow up on life/safety issues and inspection issues
  • notify General Manager or equivalent immediately of any safety and/or security violations of policy
  • maintain all desk and office areas clean and neat
  • handle administrative duties as assigned
  • ensure property is always clean and free of trash and debris
