Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- proficiency in computer systems relevant to front office operations
- valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
- ability to stand for 8-hour shifts
- ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds occasionally
- ability to communicate clearly and efficiently in English
- flexible availability to work long and varied hours
- physical capability for indoor work and extended use of hands for keyboard and phone
- willingness to travel locally as assigned
- knowledge of safety and security compliance
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous hospitality experience preferred
- ability to read, understand, and interpret information in reports and internal hotel documents
- ability to communicate effectively in speaking and writing
- sufficient mathematical skills for revenue and cash balancing
- thorough knowledge of front office and related department operations and service standards
- ability to train staff and apply effective problem-solving techniques
- strong judgment and flexibility to work long hours
- capacity to manage multiple activities and stressful situations
- effective guest and operational problem resolution skills
Job Duties
- Represent hotel in a professional and courteous manner
- check guests in and out in a timely and efficient manner
- ensure reservations are taken correctly and courteously
- be proficient in computer operating system
- be available at all times to deal with guest issues professionally
- notify General Manager or equivalent immediately of any guest, employee, or cash concerns
- supervise property staff as needed
- ensure compliance of safety and security standards
- report to the Regional Operations Manager in General Manager absence
- responsible for bank deposits in General Manager absence
- identify and follow up on life/safety issues and inspection issues
- notify General Manager or equivalent immediately of any safety and/or security violations of policy
- maintain all desk and office areas clean and neat
- handle administrative duties as assigned
- ensure property is always clean and free of trash and debris
