Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous hospitality experience preferred but not required
- proficiency in computer operating systems
- ability to read, write and speak English effectively
- mathematical skills for revenue calculations and cash balancing
- ability to work long and flexible hours
- ability to stand for 8 hours
- ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds
- valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
- ability to manage multiple tasks and work under stress
Job Qualifications
- Previous hospitality experience preferred but not required
- high school diploma or equivalent
- ability to read, understand and interpret hotel reports and internal information
- ability to read, speak, and write efficiently to interact with guests and staff
- sufficient mathematical skills for revenue and bank balancing
- thorough knowledge of front office operations, service standards, and guest relations
- effective communication skills
- flexibility to work long hours
- ability to manage multiple activities and time management skills
- sound judgment and problem-solving skills
Job Duties
- Represent hotel in a professional and courteous manner
- check guests in and out in a timely and efficient manner
- ensure reservations are taken correctly and courteously
- be proficient in computer operating system
- be available at all times to deal with guest issues professionally
- notify General Manager or equivalent immediately of any guest, employee, or cash concerns
- supervise property staff as needed
- ensure compliance of safety and security standards
- report to the Regional Operations Manager in General Manager absence
- responsible for bank deposits in General Manager absence
- identify and follow up on life/safety and inspection issues
- notify General Manager or equivalent immediately of any safety and/or security violations of policy
- leave all desk and office areas clean and neat
- handle administrative duties as assigned
- take responsibility for ensuring the property is always clean and free of trash and debris
