Job Requirements

  • Ability to read, speak, and write efficiently
  • proficiency in computer operating systems
  • ability to stand for eight-hour shifts
  • ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally
  • good vision including close, distance, and peripheral
  • valid driver’s license and proof of insurance for local travel
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to work flexible hours as needed
  • strong time management skills
  • ability to handle stressful situations

Job Qualifications

  • Previous hospitality experience preferred but not required
  • combination of education and experience equivalent to high school diploma
  • knowledge of front office and related department operations, service standards and guest relations
  • ability to read, understand and interpret hotel reports
  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • sufficient mathematical skills for revenue calculations and cash handling
  • ability to compose and express thoughts clearly
  • flexibility to work long hours and manage multiple activities
  • effective judgment and problem-solving skills for front office operations and guest concerns

Job Duties

  • Represent hotel in a professional and courteous manner
  • check guests in and out in a timely and efficient manner
  • ensure reservations are taken correctly and courteously
  • be proficient in computer operating systems
  • be available at all times to address guest issues professionally
  • notify General Manager or equivalent immediately of any guest, employee, or cash concerns
  • supervise property staff as needed
  • ensure compliance with safety and security standards
  • report to the Regional Operations Manager in General Manager absence
  • handle bank deposits in General Manager absence
  • identify and follow up on life/safety and inspection issues
  • notify General Manager of any safety or security violations
  • maintain desk and office areas clean and neat
  • perform administrative duties as assigned
  • ensure the property is clean and free of debris
