Job Requirements
- Ability to read, speak, and write efficiently
- proficiency in computer operating systems
- ability to stand for eight-hour shifts
- ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally
- good vision including close, distance, and peripheral
- valid driver’s license and proof of insurance for local travel
- high school diploma or equivalent
- ability to work flexible hours as needed
- strong time management skills
- ability to handle stressful situations
Job Qualifications
- Previous hospitality experience preferred but not required
- combination of education and experience equivalent to high school diploma
- knowledge of front office and related department operations, service standards and guest relations
- ability to read, understand and interpret hotel reports
- strong verbal and written communication skills
- sufficient mathematical skills for revenue calculations and cash handling
- ability to compose and express thoughts clearly
- flexibility to work long hours and manage multiple activities
- effective judgment and problem-solving skills for front office operations and guest concerns
Job Duties
- Represent hotel in a professional and courteous manner
- check guests in and out in a timely and efficient manner
- ensure reservations are taken correctly and courteously
- be proficient in computer operating systems
- be available at all times to address guest issues professionally
- notify General Manager or equivalent immediately of any guest, employee, or cash concerns
- supervise property staff as needed
- ensure compliance with safety and security standards
- report to the Regional Operations Manager in General Manager absence
- handle bank deposits in General Manager absence
- identify and follow up on life/safety and inspection issues
- notify General Manager of any safety or security violations
- maintain desk and office areas clean and neat
- perform administrative duties as assigned
- ensure the property is clean and free of debris
