Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • proficiency in computer operating systems
  • ability to stand for eight hour shifts
  • physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
  • valid driver's license and proof of insurance for local travel
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends
  • ability to manage multiple tasks in fast-paced environments
  • basic math skills
  • experience in customer service or hospitality preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Previous hospitality experience preferred but not required
  • any combination of education and experience equivalent to high school diploma
  • ability to read, understand, and interpret hotel reports and internal information
  • effective communication skills to interact with guests and staff
  • sufficient mathematical skills for revenue calculations and bank balancing
  • thorough knowledge of front office operations, guest relations, and etiquette
  • ability to train staff and solve problems
  • clear and concise composition and expression skills
  • ability and flexibility to work long hours and in stressful environments
  • strong time management and multitasking skills
  • sound judgment for front office operations and guest problem resolution

Job Duties

  • Represent hotel in a professional and courteous manner
  • check guests in and out in a timely and efficient manner
  • ensure reservations are taken correctly and courteously
  • be proficient in computer operating system
  • handle guest issues professionally at all times
  • notify General Manager of any guest, employee, or cash concerns
  • supervise property staff as needed
  • ensure compliance of safety and security standards
  • report to Regional Operations Manager in General Manager absence
  • be responsible for bank deposits in General Manager absence
  • identify and follow up on life/safety and inspection issues
  • notify General Manager immediately of any safety or security violations
  • maintain clean and neat desk and office areas
  • handle administrative duties as assigned
  • ensure property is clean and free of trash and debris
