Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in customer service or hospitality
  • strong computer skills
  • ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • excellent interpersonal skills
  • ability to handle cash and credit transactions accurately
  • strong attention to detail
  • ability to work well under pressure

Job Qualifications

  • Experience as a front desk agent in a hotel or a high-volume customer service environment
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • proficiency with computer systems and point-of-sale technology
  • ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently
  • strong problem-solving skills to resolve guest complaints
  • ability to work flexible shifts including days, evenings, and weekends
  • team-oriented mindset with a focus on guest satisfaction

Job Duties

  • Greet guests and complete the registration process including inputting and retrieving information, confirm guest information and room rates, select rooms, and code electronic keys
  • assist guests with check-out ensuring rooms and services are correctly accounted, use point-of-sale system, handle money, process credit and debit cards, accept and record various forms of payment including foreign currency and gift certificates
  • demonstrate thorough knowledge of hotel information including room categories, rates, packages, promotions, and local area to answer guest inquiries
  • use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and maximize room occupancy
  • respond to guest inquiries and requests, resolve issues timely and efficiently
  • field guest complaints, conduct research, and negotiate solutions for guest satisfaction
