Job Duties
- Greet guests and complete the registration process including inputting and retrieving information, confirm guest information and room rates, select rooms, and code electronic keys
- assist guests with check-out ensuring rooms and services are correctly accounted, use point-of-sale system, handle money, process credit and debit cards, accept and record various forms of payment including foreign currency and gift certificates
- demonstrate thorough knowledge of hotel information including room categories, rates, packages, promotions, and local area to answer guest inquiries
- use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and maximize room occupancy
- respond to guest inquiries and requests, resolve issues timely and efficiently
- field guest complaints, conduct research, and negotiate solutions for guest satisfaction
