Job Duties
- Leadership and mentoring role for hotel guest services employees
- maintain complete knowledge of all guest services department policies and procedures
- maintain complete knowledge of all hotel features, room types, rates, special packages, promotions, arrivals, departures, and room availability
- conduct daily walk-throughs of guest services areas to observe and correct staffing, operational cleanliness, service quality, and storage organization
- prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly departmental financial and payroll forecasts
- monitor and handle guest comments
- monitor security of public areas of the hotel
- establish par levels for supplies and equipment
- provide training, development, professional discipline, and positive support for all departmental employees
- monitor interviewing and selection of all departmental positions
- create and maintain a quality, professional work environment
- administer performance evaluations for all departmental employees
- anticipate guest and employee needs and respond promptly
- promote positive guest relations at all times
- conduct pre-shift meetings
- facilitate departmental strategic planning meetings
