Job Requirements
- At least 21 years of age
- Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods with frequent bending, stooping, and lifting
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 25 pounds occasionally unassisted
- Ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, kneel, and balance in varying work areas including confined spaces
- Comfortable interacting and communicating continually with senior management levels
- Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state, and local regulations
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from guests, team members, regulatory agencies, or business community members
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents including financial and legal reports
Job Qualifications
- Minimum one to two years of experience in hotel operations, preferably front office, with supervisory experience
- Effective communication skills in one-on-one, small group, and large group settings
- Experience interacting with C-level, VP, and other senior management
- Writing skills including letters, memos, presentation decks, and SOPs
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents such as financial reports and legal agreements
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to define issues and draw valid conclusions
- Previous leadership experience in hotel operations or related fields preferred
Job Duties
- Supervise front desk team members including lead clerks and clerks
- Collaborate with various hotel departments to ensure a seamless guest experience
- Develop and manage standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Coordinate room inventory management to maximize room revenue
- Lead hiring, training, coaching, scheduling, and performance evaluations for the front desk team
- Assist in front desk budget development and management
- Define and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to front desk operations
- Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures related to front desk operations
