Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years management experience in computerized hotel reservations
- Thorough knowledge of reservation department operations
- Proficient with computerized reservation systems and property management systems including CRS interface, Telex, HIS Paragon Plus, and Maxim Revenue Management
- Strong ability to coordinate with multiple hotel departments
- Experience in creating and implementing operating standards and meeting budget goals
- Skilled in data analysis and problem-solving
- Excellent leadership and staff management skills
- Exceptional oral communication and guest negotiation skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
Job Duties
- Manage computerized hotel reservation systems including HIS Paragon Plus and Maxim Revenue Management
- Coordinate reservations with other hotel departments to ensure efficient operations
- Create, implement, and monitor hotel and staff operating standards and procedures and annual objectives
- Analyze reservation data to meet budgets and improve performance
- Train, motivate, evaluate, mentor, and direct employees and managers within the reservation department
- Maintain excellent relations with staff while ensuring confidentiality and professionalism
- Handle guest communications effectively, including negotiation and dispute resolution
