Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- at least one year of experience in direct customer service
- ability to use EMR and follow HIPAA protocol
- training in de-escalation skills
- ability to push wheelchairs up to 250 pounds
- ability to operate motor vehicle for shuttle services
- capability to wear Personal Protective Equipment
- ability to perform physical tasks involving standing, walking, bending, and lifting
- willingness to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies
- non-exempt employment status
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- one year of experience in a direct customer service position
- proficiency in the use of EMR following HIPAA protocols
- ability to perform de-escalation techniques
- preferred coursework in Behavioral Sciences
- preferred CPR and AED certification
- prior experience in Hospitality Services preferred
Job Duties
- Welcomes guests to St. Charles Health System facilities
- provides the highest level of quality, proactive service to guests
- greets guests, responds to requests for information or assistance, and resolves concerns
- proactively seeks out opportunities to meet or exceed guest expectations
- answers the guest services phone and provides requested service
- gives accurate information and directions to patients, visitors, and family members
- provides and maintains wheelchairs and facilitates escort services
- maintains continuous communication with all departments and supervisors
- supports the vision, mission, and values of the organization in all respects
- provides and maintains a safe environment for caregivers, patients, and guests
- conducts all activities with professionalism and confidentiality
- supports Value Improvement Practice (VIP-Lean) principles
