Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum one-year hospitality, guest service, or direct customer contact experience with an emphasis on providing exceptional customer service and satisfaction
  • Ability to work in a variety of environments including standing for extended periods, working at heights, tight or enclosed spaces such as elevators, darkened arenas, crowded areas, loud or noisy settings, and areas with flashing lights
  • Availability to start shifts as early as 5:00 pm for basketball games and varied start times for non-basketball events with shifts ending as late as 1:00 am
  • Must be available to work at least 80% of arena events
  • Strong communication, written and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to relate professionally to all levels of staff, guests, clients, and VIPs
  • Energetic, positive, self-motivated, diplomatic, mature, and professional
  • Ability to lift up to 10 lbs
  • Passion for the sports and entertainment industry

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Ensure all guests are greeted upon arrival and first impression standards are met
  • Maintain designated station during scheduled event time
  • Ensure all clients have correct tickets and credentials to enter the host area of control
  • Learn the layout of FedExForum and re-direct guests to the correct areas of the building when assistance is needed
  • Promote personal guest relations and ensure all arena guests receive a consistently high standard of service and quality
  • Demonstrate S.A.U.C.E. initiatives in customer interactions for all FedExForum events
  • Monitor assigned section, assist guests with seat location, and watch for seat hoppers
  • Remain in position unless redeployed by supervisor or full-time staff member
  • Service and fulfill individual requests with expedience and care
  • Respond to all inquiries, suggestions, and concerns from guests
  • Advise and immediately follow up with Guest Relations Supervisor with any reported problems or concerns
  • Accept, upon rotation, additional event responsibilities including chair breakdown, ticket scanning, elevator/disabled lift operation, and attend pre-and post-event briefings
  • Supply detailed event information to Guest Relations Supervisor during the shift to ensure issue resolution or proper transfer to relevant departments
  • Perform other duties as assigned
