Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a customer service or front desk role preferred
  • Basic accounting or cashier experience
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Ability to handle difficult or upset guests professionally
  • Knowledge of hotel facilities, features, and local community
  • Competent in computer operations including data entry and printer use
  • Excellent multitasking and organizational skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure

Job Duties

  • Welcome and accommodate guests, visitors, and staff in a warm and courteous manner
  • Oversee the guest registration and check-out process
  • Promote hotel services and amenities and provide helpful information
  • Greet guests and visitors professionally with proper eye contact and prompt attention
  • Assist guests with advance reservations and accommodate walk-in visitors
  • Set up accurate accounts for guests based on preferences
  • Handle room changes expediently
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of hotel rates, promotions, room types, services, amenities, and local attractions
  • Resolve guest issues empathetically and implement service recovery if needed
  • Settle guest accounts upon check-out, following accounting and cash handling procedures
  • Respond courteously to inquiries from guests, visitors, and coworkers
  • Manage proper key control and security measures
  • Participate in safety and security training and adhere to all safety protocols
  • Collaborate effectively with front office colleagues and other departments such as Valets, Bellman, Sales, and Accounting
  • Communicate pertinent guest information to relevant personnel
  • Handle lost and found items responsibly
  • Report accidents, injuries, unsafe conditions, and maintenance issues promptly
  • Maintain professional appearance, grooming standards, and confidentiality
  • Engage in ongoing training and perform other assigned duties.
