Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED
  • two years of customer service experience
  • ability to walk short distances or be independent in wheelchair mobility
  • ability to stand or sit for long periods (up to ten hours per day)
  • competent with computers and Microsoft Office Suite
  • functional hearing for communication devices
  • ability to work flexible schedules and extended hours
  • problem resolution skills
  • ability to manage multiple priorities
  • ability to speak, read, and write standard English
  • ability to comprehend and follow instructions

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or GED
  • two years of customer service experience, preferably in healthcare
  • computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite
  • effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • problem resolution skills
  • ability to manage multiple priorities
  • ability to speak, read, and write standard English
  • ability to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form
  • preferred bilingual skills
  • previous guest service, concierge, or customer service experience

Job Duties

  • greet patients, families, and visitors upon arrival
  • assist with way-finding and provide directions to correct locations
  • secure and assist with courtesy wheelchairs as needed
  • offer orientation to main lobby, registration, kiosks, and waiting areas
  • provide information and assistance at the West Information Desk
  • assist with patient departures and offer additional help as needed
  • maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA
  • keep work environment and lobby areas clean and tidy
  • check and disinfect courtesy wheelchairs regularly
  • maintain a warm, positive atmosphere
  • adhere to hospital policies and procedures
  • maintain detailed knowledge of facility services and departments
  • complete incident reports accurately
  • communicate effectively with guests, clients, and associates
  • use communication devices professionally
