- Ability to use event management and office software
- Dependable work ethic and timely communication of scheduling needs
Job Qualifications
- Current student enrolled at the University of New Mexico
- Ability to interact effectively with students, faculty, and guests
- Proficient in answering phones and emails
- Flexible scheduling including availability on weekends and evenings
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365, particularly Outlook
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Previous customer service experience
Job Duties
- Assisting the University Club manager with daily operations and special event planning for members
- Delivering excellent customer service to faculty, staff, and students in each interaction
- Giving tours of the event space
- Scheduling events within event management software
- Answering phone calls and email inquiries about renting meeting rooms or event space
- Assisting clients and coordinating schedules with event planning logistics, catering, and on-site event coordination
- Facilitating events on-site ensuring operations align with event goals and managing issue resolution as needed
- Planning, scheduling, and coordinating logistical activities for special events including registration, meeting facilities, food services, and audio-visual equipment
- Maintaining records, reports, and special event files using Excel, Word, or PowerPoint
- Assisting with administrative duties for multiple departments
- Supporting UNM Food with inventory management, vending solutions, and special projects
- Managing multiple tasks, adhering to dependable scheduling and communicating scheduling needs timely
