Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in hotel or related field preferred
  • Computer literacy
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Ability to stand for entire shift
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally
  • Customer service skills
  • Flexible schedule with availability for long hours
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Attend required meetings and trainings
  • Follow hotel standards and policies

Job Qualifications

  • College coursework in related field helpful
  • Experience in a hotel or related field preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Computer experience required
  • Customer service experience preferred
  • Ability to stand during entire shift
  • Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions
  • Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming

Job Duties

  • Greet and welcome all guests at the Front Desk in accordance with Highgate Hotel standards
  • Maintain proper operation of the PBX console and ensure hotel standards are met
  • Answer guest inquiries about hotel services, facilities, and hours of operation in a timely manner
  • Ensure logging and delivery of packages, mail, and messages to guests and meeting rooms
  • Review Front Office log and Trace File daily
  • Answer guest inquiries regarding restaurants, transportation, entertainment, etc.
  • Follow all cash handling and credit policies
