Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in a hotel or related field preferred
- Computer proficiency
- Customer service experience preferred
- Flexible availability including long hours
- Ability to stand for entire shift
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Friendly, attentive and courteous manner
- Ability to handle guest concerns and problems effectively
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to follow hotel cash handling and credit policies
- Willingness to cross-train in other hotel areas
- High standards of personal appearance and grooming
- Ability to perform light physical work up to 20 pounds occasionally
- Maintain regular attendance
- Ability to show initiative and anticipate guest needs
Job Qualifications
- College course work in related field helpful
- Experience in a hotel or a related field preferred
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Computer experience required
- Customer Services experience preferred
- Flexible and long hours sometimes required, must have open availability
- Ability to stand during entire shift
Job Duties
- Greet and welcome all guests approaching the Front Desk in accordance with Viceroy Hotel standards
- Maintain proper operation of the PBX console and ensure that all hotel standards are met if applicable
- Answer guest inquires about hotel services, facilities and hours of operation in a timely manner
- Ensure logging and delivery of packages, mail and messages to guests and meeting rooms
- Review Front Office log and Trace File daily
- Answer inquires from guests regarding restaurants, transportation, entertainment, etc.
- Follow all cash handling and credit policies
