Job Requirements
- Two years of relevant administrative or professional experience
- One year specialized supervisory or technical experience in guest services
- Ability to work all shifts including holidays
- Proficiency in computer systems relevant to hospitality operations
- Must satisfy all training and position requirements
- Ability to handle emergency situations
- Willingness to participate in hiring and staff management activities
Job Qualifications
- Two years experience in administrative or responsible work with general knowledge of business practices
- One year specialized experience in supervisory or technical work with guest services environment
- Ability to exercise mature judgement and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of front desk operations or similar environment
- Proficiency with Property Management and Point of Sale systems
- Training and supervisory skills
- Ability to work all shifts including holidays
- Effective communication and problem solving skills
Job Duties
- Responsible for NHG front desk operations including lobby appearance, guest service, office operations, work all shifts including holidays as scheduled, communicate operations and guest issues to chain of command
- Assist guests with room reservations, cancellations, payments, check-in, check-out, and credit card processing in person, telephone and email
- Train associates on NHG systems and procedures, monitor and ensure completion of required training, create work schedules and assign work, check quality and productivity, motivate staff
- Approve leave requests, document attendance, use payroll system for scheduling and expense reporting
- Issue room keys, sort mail and messages, deposit guest valuables, control uniform inventory and appearance
- Operate multi-line phones, answer inquiries about services and facilities
- Utilize Property Management System to generate reports, input and review statistical data
- Operate Point of Sale system for sales transactions
- Reconcile daily transactions, perform night audit functions, resolve discrepancies, assist with month-end reporting
- Act as Manager on Duty to maintain continuity in GM absence
- Participate in hiring, evaluate and counsel staff, complete performance evaluations, recommend awards
- Assist with setup and breakdown of breakfast bar and lobby events
- Submit purchase requisitions for supplies, maintain inventory and equipment, request repairs
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and NHG regulations, maintain clean and safe environment
- Monitor budgets including payroll and supplies
- Ensure security of rooms and keys, report lost keys
- Perform other related duties as assigned
