Job Requirements
- Two years of experience in administrative, professional investigative, or responsible work
- One year of academic study above high school level in hospitality can substitute for experience
- One year of specialized supervisory experience in Navy Lodge or similar setting
- Ability to work all shifts including holidays
- Completion of required training and job duties satisfaction
- Ability to manage multiple communication modes and operational tasks
- Capability to manage payroll, leave requests, and schedules
- Must maintain security of guest rooms and keys
- Ability to perform emergency operations and support special events
- Availability for full-time employment in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii
Job Qualifications
- Two years of experience in administrative or responsible work involving business practices and interpersonal relations
- One year of specialized supervisory experience within Navy Lodge or similar guest services environment
- Experience in front desk operations including reservations, guest services, and office management
- Ability to train and lead staff in hospitality systems and standard operating procedures
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for guest interaction and team coordination
- Familiarity with payroll systems and budget monitoring
- Ability to operate Property Management Systems and Point of Sale systems
- Skills in conducting audits, managing discrepancies, and generating operational reports
- Capable of managing emergencies and acting as Manager on Duty
- Knowledge of OSHA compliance and safety standards
Job Duties
- Supervise daily front desk operations including lobby appearance and guest service
- Communicate with NHG personnel and chain of command about operations and guest issues
- Assist guests via telephone, email, and in-person for reservations, payments, check-in, and check-out
- Train associates on NHG systems and standard operating procedures
- Monitor staff performance, assign work schedules, and ensure completion of required training
- Approve leave requests, document attendance, and manage payroll expenses
- Issue room keys, sort mail, control uniform inventory, and maintain office operations
- Operate multi-line telephone system and respond to inquiries about base facilities and local attractions
- Utilize Property Management System to generate reports and ensure data accuracy
- Manage Point of Sale transactions and reconcile daily sales
- Conduct night audits, resolve discrepancies, and support month-end reporting
- Act as Manager on Duty to ensure operational continuity
- Participate in staff hiring, evaluations, and performance counseling
- Oversee setup and breakdown of breakfast bar and events
- Create and submit purchase requisitions for supplies and guest amenities
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and maintain a safe environment
- Monitor departmental budgets and expenses
- Maintain security of guest rooms and keys
- Perform other related duties as assigned
