Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in hospitality or customer service preferred
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to use telephone systems and office equipment
  • proficiency in managing guest accounts and reservations
  • capable of handling multiple tasks efficiently
  • ability to supervise and direct associates

Job Duties

  • Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests
  • issue room key and escort instructions without announcing room numbers
  • answer inquiries about hotel services, registration, dining, shopping, entertainment, and travel
  • keep records of room availability and guests’ accounts
  • make, confirm, and cancel reservations
  • compute bills, collect payments, and make change
  • post charges such as room, food, liquor, or telephone
  • date-stamp, sort, and rack incoming mail and messages
  • transmit and receive messages using telephone, fax, and switchboard
  • enforce hotel company credit policies
  • account for all cash and make deposits
  • greet guests warmly
  • take responsibility for assigned employees in manager's absence
  • make restaurant, transportation, or entertainment reservations
  • manage guests’ valuables
  • perform other duties as assigned
