Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year experience in guest services or customer service
  • Ability to speak and hear in English
  • Vision capabilities including close and distance vision
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry 6-25 lbs frequently
  • Manual dexterity and fine motor skills
  • Ability to work overtime and irregular hours

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year guest services, general office, accounts receivable, or customer service experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask effectively
  • Basic proficiency in operating telephone and computer systems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to work irregular hours and overtime

Job Duties

  • Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests
  • Issue room key and escort instructions to Bell person or directly to guest without announcing room numbers
  • Answer inquiries about hotel services and local attractions
  • Maintain records of room availability and guest accounts
  • Make, confirm, and cancel reservations
  • Compute bills, collect payments, and make change
  • Date-stamp, sort, and distribute incoming mail and messages
  • Enforce hotel credit policies and manage cash deposits
  • Greet guests in a friendly and warm manner
  • Supervise assigned employees in the absence of the Department Manager
  • Make restaurant, transportation, or entertainment reservations
  • Handle other duties as assigned
