Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year guest services, general office, accounts receivable or customer service experience
- Ability to speak and hear in English
- Ability to stand, walk and carry weights up to 25 lbs
- Ability to work overtime and irregular hours
- Strong manual dexterity and motor skills
- Ability to handle guest inquiries and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year guest services, general office, accounts receivable or customer service experience or equivalent combination
- Ability to communicate clearly and listen attentively
- Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
- Proficiency in using office equipment including computers and telephones
Job Duties
- Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests
- Issue room key and escort instructions without announcing room numbers
- Answer inquiries about hotel services, shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions
- Keep records of room availability and guests' accounts
- Make, confirm, and cancel reservations for guests
- Compute bills, collect payment, and make change
- Post charges such as room, food, liquor, or telephone
- Date-stamp, sort, and rack incoming mail and messages
- Transmit and receive messages using telephone, fax, and switchboard
- Enforce hotel credit policies and manage cash deposits
- Take initiative to greet guests warmly
- Take responsibility for assigned employees in absence of Department Manager
- Make restaurant, transportation, or entertainment reservations
- Deposit guests' valuables in hotel safe
- Order complimentary flowers or champagne for special guests
- Perform other duties as assigned
