Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Pass appropriate security clearance
  • Ability to push or pull 60 pounds and lift or carry 30 pounds
  • Ability to stand for eight hours, bend, stretch and reach
  • Ability to see and hear
  • Ability to speak and read English
  • Display professionalism honesty and trustworthiness at all times
  • Be flexible in regard to work schedule
  • Able to work unsupervised and be productive at all times including overnight
  • Experience in accounting, sales service or guest relations industry helpful but not mandatory
  • Knowledge of Manager on Duty functions
  • Computer literate and able to operate property management system
  • Ability to multitask and maintain guest service orientation

  • Ability to push or pull 60 pounds and lift or carry 30 pounds
  • Ability to stand for eight hours and perform physical tasks such as bending, stretching and reaching
  • Ability to see, hear, speak and read English
  • Computer literacy and ability to use property management system
  • Professionalism, honesty and trustworthiness at all times
  • Effective communication skills with guests and co-workers
  • Ability to work independently and be productive including overnight shifts
  • Knowledge of Manager on Duty functions, cash handling, credit card processing
  • Understanding of safety and security measures and emergency procedures
  • Skills in phone etiquette and customer service
  • Ability to multitask and remain guest service centric
  • Familiarity with hotel property, services, and operations

Job Duties

  • Provide excellent guest service in an efficient courteous professional manner
  • Follow hotel standards of friendly hospitality and adhere to guidelines and procedures
  • Execute selling strategies to enhance hotel revenue
  • Manage front office operations and act as Manager on Duty
  • Respond immediately to guest requests and maintain communication with management staff
  • Greet and register guests, provide room assignments and accommodate special requests
  • Promote and sell hotel services and amenities
  • Check all credit cards for validity and balance cash and credit transactions at shift end
  • Maintain cleanliness and professional appearance of lobby and dining areas
  • Ensure safety and security measures are followed and report hazardous conditions
  • Assist with guest issues maintaining professionalism and hospitable attitude
  • Help in other departments such as laundry, housekeeping, food and beverage as needed
  • Maintain stock and cleanliness of market area if applicable
  • Learn and utilize the property management system (PMS)
  • Stay updated on hotel events, new procedures and changes
  • Report unusual occurrences to management and practice safety standards at all times
  • Be flexible with work schedule and perform other duties as assigned
  • Meal handling and guest interaction in alignment with company policy
