Job Qualifications

  • experience in guest relations or sales helpful but not mandatory
  • knowledge of front office operations and property management system

  • computer literate
  • knowledge of cash handling and credit card processing
  • ability to handle guest complaints and resolve issues thoughtfully
  • ability to follow safety and security procedures
  • proficiency in English
  • ability to speak additional languages is a plus

Job Duties

  • Provide excellent guest service in an efficient courteous professional manner
  • follow hospitality standards and procedures
  • execute selling strategies to enhance hotel revenue
  • act as Manager on Duty during designated hours
  • respond immediately to guest requests
  • represent the hotel during late evening and early morning
  • maintain communication with management staff
  • greet and register guests and provide room assignments
  • promote and sell hotel services and amenities
  • handle guest reservations and promote repeat business
  • keep departments informed of special requests and late checkouts
  • verify credit cards for validity
  • maintain front office cash and financial balances
  • assist with maintaining cleanliness of public areas
  • have thorough knowledge of emergency procedures and safety standards
  • report unusual occurrences to management
  • maintain stock and cleanliness of market area if applicable
  • maintain certification if alcohol is served
  • demonstrate flexibility with work schedule
  • assist in other departments as needed
