Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum one year of guest services, office, accounts receivable, or customer service experience
  • ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • proficient in multitasking between various activities
  • good judgment and discretion in handling sensitive information
  • ability to operate switchboard and computer keyboards accurately

Job Duties

  • Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests
  • issue room keys and escort instructions appropriately without announcing room numbers
  • answer inquiries about hotel services, registration, and local attractions
  • maintain records of room availability and guest accounts
  • make, confirm, and cancel reservations
  • compute bills, collect payments, and post charges
  • manage incoming mail and messages via telephone, fax, or switchboard
  • enforce hotel credit and cash policies
  • greet guests warmly and take initiative in customer service
  • supervise assigned employees in absence of Department Manager
  • make restaurant, transportation, or entertainment reservations
  • handle guests' valuables securely
  • perform other duties as assigned
