Job Requirements

  • Pass appropriate security clearance per company policy
  • able to perform major life activities including standing lifting bending learning reading concentrating thinking and communicating
  • able to push or pull 60 pounds and lift or carry 30 pounds

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in service sales telesales or guest relations preferred but not mandatory
  • computer literacy to operate property management systems
  • good communication skills in English speaking and reading
  • ability to multitask and remain guest service centric
  • professionalism honesty and trustworthiness
  • ability to learn and utilize reservation procedures and hotel operations
  • familiarity with frequent stay programs beneficial
  • flexible availability including evenings weekends

Job Duties

  • Provide excellent guest service in an efficient courteous professional manner
  • follow LBA standards of friendly hospitality while adhering to guidelines and procedures
  • execute selling strategies to enhance hotel revenue
  • greet and register guests provide room assignments maintain guest privacy and accommodate special requests
  • promote and sell hotel services and amenities
  • promote repeat business by offering future reservations and recommendations
  • be aware of potential sales leads through guest interaction and report to appropriate individuals
  • keep housekeeping and other departments informed of special requests late check-outs and special needs
  • check validity of credit cards before end of shift
  • learn and utilize property management system (PMS)
  • ensure all cash check and miscellaneous departments are balanced at shift end
  • assist in food and beverage cleanliness and other guest satisfaction duties
  • help maintain a clean and professional lobby and dining area
  • have thorough working knowledge of emergency procedures and practice safety standards
  • report any unusual occurrences to the manager
  • maintain certification for alcohol service when required
  • be flexible with work schedule including evenings and weekends
  • utilize service recovery and communication logs
  • maintain stock and cleanliness in market area
  • perform other assigned duties within capability
