Job Requirements
- Pass company security clearance
- be able to stand for eight hours
- be able to lift or carry up to 30 pounds and push or pull 60 pounds
- have the ability to bend stretch and reach
- have good vision and hearing
- able to speak and read English
- demonstrate professionalism honesty and trustworthiness at all times
- physically capable of performing required tasks
- willing to follow approved laundry procedures if applicable
- maintain certification for alcohol service if required
Job Qualifications
- Experience in service sales telesales or guest relations is helpful but not mandatory
- professionalism honesty and trustworthiness
- ability to communicate effectively in English
- computer literate with ability to operate property management system
- knowledge of hotel operations and services
- ability to multi task and remain guest service centric
- understanding of phone etiquette and reservation procedures
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
Job Duties
- Provide excellent guest service in an efficient courteous professional manner
- follow LBA standards of friendly hospitality while adhering to guidelines and procedures
- execute selling strategies to enhance hotel revenue
- greet and register guests providing room assignments and maintaining guest privacy
- promote and sell hotel services and amenities
- promote repeat business by taking future reservations and offering recommendations
- be aware of potential sales leads and report information accordingly
- keep housekeeping and other departments informed of special requests and needs
- check all credit cards for validity before shift end
- learn and utilize property management system
- ensure all cash, check and miscellaneous departments are balanced at shift end
- assist in other areas such as food and beverage and property cleanliness
- help maintain a clean and professional lobby and dining area
- have thorough knowledge of emergency procedures
- practice safety standards and report hazardous conditions
- report any unusual occurrences to management
- maintain alcohol service certification if applicable
- be flexible with work schedule including evenings and weekends
- utilize service recovery and communication logs
- maintain stock and cleanliness in market area
- perform other duties as assigned
