Job Requirements
- Pass appropriate security clearance per company policy
- ability to perform major life activities including standing, lifting up to 30 pounds, bending, learning, reading, concentrating, thinking, and communicating
- able to push or pull 60 pounds
- able to stand for eight hours and perform physical tasks such as bending, stretching, and reaching
- ability to see and hear
- speak and read English
- display professionalism, honesty, and trustworthiness
- be flexible with work schedule including potential evenings and weekends
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- experience in service, sales, telesales, or guest relations is helpful but not mandatory
- strong communication skills
- computer literate with ability to operate property management systems
- ability to multitask and remain guest service centric
- professionalism, honesty, and trustworthiness
- ability to speak and read English
- additional language skills helpful
- knowledge of hotel operations, reservations, and sales techniques
Job Duties
- Provide excellent guest service in an efficient, courteous professional manner
- follow LBA standards of friendly hospitality while adhering to guidelines and procedures
- execute selling strategies to enhance hotel revenue
- greet and register guests, provide room assignments, maintain guest privacy, and accommodate special requests when possible
- promote and sell services and amenities of the hotel
- promote repeat business by offering to take future reservations and providing recommendations for alternate same brand-type products
- be aware of potential sales leads through guest interaction and report information appropriately
- keep housekeeping and other departments informed of special requests, late check-outs, and special needs
- check all credit cards for validity before the end of the shift
- learn and utilize property management system (PMS)
- ensure cash, check, and miscellaneous departments are balanced at shift end
- assist in other areas such as food and beverage and property cleanliness
- help maintain a clean and professional lobby and dining area
- have thorough knowledge of emergency procedures
- practice safety standards and report hazardous conditions
- report unusual occurrences or requests to management
- maintain certification if alcohol is served
- be flexible with work schedule including evenings and weekends
- utilize Service Recovery Log and other communication logs
- maintain stock and cleanliness in market area
- perform other duties as assigned
