Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ability to pass security clearance per company policy
- must be able to stand for up to eight hours and perform physical tasks including lifting and bending
- must be able to see, hear, speak, and read English
- demonstrate professionalism and trustworthiness
- willingness to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- adherence to company policies and procedures
- certification for alcohol service if applicable
Job Qualifications
- Experience in service, sales, telesales, or guest relations is helpful but not mandatory
- computer literate with proficiency in property management systems
- excellent communication skills in English
- ability to multitask and maintain guest service focus
- basic knowledge of hotel operations and reservation procedures
- professionalism, honesty, and trustworthiness
- ability to maintain confidentiality and guest privacy
- physically able to stand for long periods, lift and carry weights as required
- familiarity with emergency procedures and safety standards
Job Duties
- Provide excellent guest service in an efficient, courteous, professional manner
- follow hotel standards and guidelines
- execute selling strategies to enhance hotel revenue
- greet and register guests, assign rooms, maintain privacy, and accommodate special requests
- promote and sell hotel services and amenities
- encourage repeat business and manage future reservations
- identify and report potential sales leads
- communicate guest needs to housekeeping and other departments
- verify credit card validity
- operate property management system
- balance all cash and payment departments at shift end
- assist in food and beverage and general cleanliness as needed
- maintain a professional lobby and dining area
- adhere to emergency and safety procedures
- report unusual occurrences to management
- maintain certification for alcohol service if required
- be flexible with work schedule including evenings and weekends
- use communication logs effectively
- maintain cleanliness and stock in market areas
- perform other assigned duties as capable
