Job Requirements

  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 1 year guest services, general office, accounts receivable or customer service experience
  • ability to speak and hear in English
  • close and distance vision
  • ability to stand for long periods
  • ability to walk extended distances
  • ability to lift and carry 6-25 lbs
  • ability to reach hands and arms in any direction
  • ability to work overtime and irregular hours

Job Duties

  • Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests
  • issue room key and escort instructions
  • answer inquiries about hotel services, shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions
  • keep records of room availability and guests’ accounts
  • make, confirm, and cancel reservations
  • compute bills, collect payment, and make change
  • post charges such as room, food, liquor, or telephone
  • date-stamp, sort, and rack incoming mail and messages
  • transmit and receive messages using telephone, fax, and switchboard
  • enforce hotel credit policies
  • account for cash and make deposits
  • greet guests warmly
  • take responsibility for assigned employees in manager's absence
  • make restaurant, transportation, or entertainment reservations
  • deposit guests’ valuables in hotel safe
  • order complimentary items for special guests
  • perform other duties as assigned
