Job Requirements

  • Must pass company-required security clearance
  • must be able to stand for extended periods
  • must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds and push or pull 60 pounds

  • must be honest, trustworthy and professional at all times
  • must have knowledge of hotel property, staff, services, and procedures
  • must be proficient in operating property management systems
  • must be able to communicate effectively with guests and staff
  • must maintain safety standards and be alert to hazardous conditions
  • must be flexible with work schedule including evenings and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • basic computer literacy especially with property management systems
  • effective communication skills both verbal and written
  • ability to multitask and maintain professionalism under pressure
  • knowledge of hotel operations and guest service procedures
  • experience in customer service, sales, or hospitality is preferred but not mandatory
  • ability to speak and read English fluently
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends

Job Duties

  • Provide excellent guest service in a courteous and professional manner
  • greet and register guests, provide room assignments and maintain guest privacy
  • promote and sell hotel services and amenities
  • accommodate special guest requests when possible
  • promote repeat business by facilitating future reservations
  • communicate guest needs and special requests to housekeeping and other departments
  • verify credit cards and ensure cash drawer balance at shift end
  • assist in food and beverage and property cleanliness to foster guest satisfaction
  • maintain knowledge of hotel emergency procedures
  • practice safety standards and report hazards
  • maintain stock and cleanliness in market areas
  • remain flexible with work schedule including evenings and weekends
  • use property management system to post charges and manage reservations
  • report unusual occurrences to the manager
  • utilize service recovery logs for guest issue resolution
  • other assigned duties appropriate to the role
