Job Requirements
- Ability to speak, hear and understand spoken English
- ability to see well enough to operate store equipment and check identification
- ability to understand operating instructions and operate all store equipment
- ability to prepare DipSide items
- ability to handle coins, currency, checks, credit transactions, coupons and food stamps, recognize denominations and make change accurately
- ability to recognize numbers, count and do arithmetic to complete records
- ability to move merchandise to shelves, displays, freezers, and milk box
- ability to clean counters and surfaces
- ability to tolerate exposure to temperatures as low as -30 degrees Fahrenheit for at least 2 minutes
- ability to tolerate exposure to temperatures as low as 33 degrees Fahrenheit for at least 10 minutes
- ability to raise at least 10 pounds from floor level to a height of 5 feet
- ability to place a 21-pound package in dip cabinet 3 feet above floor level
Job Qualifications
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- ability to operate store equipment including POS terminals and gas consoles
- basic arithmetic skills for completing records and making change
- ability to follow operating instructions and company policies
- customer service orientation with friendly demeanor
- ability to work assigned shifts including mornings, afternoons, and evenings
- dependable and trustworthy with attention to detail
Job Duties
- Provide the signature UDF Hi Five Guest Experience
- greet Guests warmly
- ensure store is prepared and ready
- anticipate and assist Guest needs
- prepare DipSide items like shakes and sundaes
- operate point of sale system and gas console accurately
- stock shelves, displays, milk box and freezers
- maintain product rotation and check expiration dates
- monitor store security and follow theft prevention procedures
- manage cash register and complete proper cash drop procedures
- maintain clean and safe store and parking lot conditions
- monitor refrigeration equipment temperatures
- complete accurate time records and Customer First Document
- perform additional duties as assigned by management
