Job Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old
- ability to speak, hear and understand spoken English
- ability to see well enough to operate store equipment
- ability to prepare DipSide items
- ability to handle coins, currency, checks, credit transactions, coupons and food stamps
- ability to recognize numbers and do arithmetic
- ability to move merchandise from storage to shelves and displays
- ability to clean counters and surfaces
- ability to tolerate exposure to cold and warm temperatures
- ability to lift at least 10 pounds to a height of 5 feet
- ability to place packages weighing up to 21 pounds into dip cabinets at a height of 3 feet
Job Qualifications
- Ability to speak, hear and understand spoken English well enough to communicate effectively with customers
- ability to see well enough to operate store equipment including POS terminal and gas console
- ability to understand and operate all store equipment
- ability to prepare DipSide items using supplies in the dip cabinets
- ability to handle and make change accurately with coins, currency, checks, credit transactions, coupons and food stamps
- ability to recognize numbers, count and perform arithmetic for record keeping
- ability to move merchandise and stock properly
- ability to clean counters and surfaces
- ability to tolerate exposure to temperatures as low as -30 degrees Fahrenheit for at least 2 minutes and as high as +33 degrees Fahrenheit for at least 10 minutes
Job Duties
- Provide the signature UDF Hi Five Guest Experience
- greet guests with a warm, authentic hello
- ensure the store is prepared and ready for guests at all times
- anticipate needs of guests and provide assistance to ensure each guest leaves satisfied with the intention to return
- prepare shakes, malts, cups, cones of ice cream, yogurt, sundaes, sodas and hand-packed containers at the DipSide counter
- operate point of sale system and gas console accurately, handling all kinds of transactions including coins, currency, checks, credit cards, coupons and food stamps
- keep shelves, displays, milk boxes and freezers stocked, facing merchandise and ensuring proper rotation of stock
- maintain awareness of guests in the store and on the lot to minimize theft and gas drive-offs
- follow tobacco, alcohol management and robbery prevention programs
- keep store and parking lot clean, safe and organized
- monitor store equipment and refrigeration temperatures
- complete accurate time records and Customer First Documents
- perform other duties as assigned by management
