Job Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Ability to speak, hear and understand spoken English
- Ability to see well enough to operate store equipment and check identification
- Ability to understand instructions and operate all store equipment
- Ability to prepare DipSide items using supplies in dip cabinets
- Ability to handle coins, currency, checks, credit transactions, coupons and food stamps
- Ability to recognize numbers and perform arithmetic
- Ability to stock merchandise from storage to shelves and displays
- Ability to clean counters and other surfaces
- Ability to tolerate exposure to temperatures as low as minus 30 degrees Fahrenheit for at least 2 minutes
- Ability to tolerate exposure to plus 33 degrees Fahrenheit for at least 10 minutes
- Ability to lift at least 10 pounds from floor to height of 5 feet
- Ability to place an 8x10x10 package weighing 21 pounds into a dip cabinet 3 feet above the floor
Job Qualifications
- Ability to speak, hear and understand English effectively
- Ability to operate store equipment including POS terminal and gas console
- Ability to prepare DipSide items
- Ability to accurately handle transactions and make change
- Ability to count and do arithmetic to complete records
- Ability to move merchandise for display
- Ability to clean and maintain store areas
- Ability to tolerate cold and warm temperature exposure
- Ability to lift and place packages weighing up to 21 pounds
- Honesty and compliance with company policies and laws
Job Duties
- Provide the signature UDF Hi Five Guest Experience by greeting guests warmly
- Ensure the store is prepared and ready for guests at all times
- Prepare shakes, malts, cups, cones of ice cream or yogurt, sundaes, sodas, and hand-packed containers
- Operate the point of sale system and gas console accurately including handling cash, credit, coupons and food stamps
- Keep shelves, displays, milk box and freezers stocked and presented
- Maintain awareness of all guests to minimize theft and control cash levels following company security procedures
- Clean counters and maintain store and parking lot safety and cleanliness
- Complete time records and customer documents accurately
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
