Job Duties

  • Greet guests
  • check them in and out with friendliness, speed, and accuracy
  • maintain all shift paperwork
  • handle cash accurately and balance shift report
  • operate switchboard and transfer calls
  • keep business confidential on and off duty
  • know room rates, locations, and furnishings
  • promote membership in franchise club
  • secure lodging referrals when hotel is full
  • provide local attractions and directions information
  • take and confirm reservations accurately
  • check credit cards and reservation guarantees
  • monitor reservation status
  • handle guest complaints professionally
  • follow emergency procedures and safety protocols
  • maintain lobby and office cleanliness
  • operate front desk computer systems
  • assist with continental breakfast setup
  • complete required shift forms
  • perform all other duties as assigned
