Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • ability to work a flexible schedule
  • must be able to lift 25 pounds
  • must be able to push or pull a fully stocked housekeeping cart
  • completion of mandatory compliance training including active shooter awareness, general employee safety training, hazard communication, responsible gaming awareness, Title 31 training, and sexual harassment awareness
  • physical capability to stand, walk, lift, carry, push, pull, kneel, crouch, and perform repetitive motions
  • good judgment and common sense

Job Duties

  • Enhances the guest experience by providing exceptional service
  • services assigned rooms according to departmental specifications within allotted time
  • documents room status on assignment sheets
  • greets guests passing in corridors establishing eye contact
  • ensures that equipment in guestrooms is operational including TV, remote control, phones, and lights
  • uses cleaning chemicals and safety equipment as instructed
  • follows safety protocols
  • delivers guest request items
  • communicates all maintenance issues to supervisor
  • executes daily cleaning projects
  • secures master keys while working
  • collects and secures lost-and-found articles
  • restocks housekeeping cart daily
  • responsible for biohazard cleanup in assigned areas
  • keeps all storage areas and linen rooms clean and satisfactory
  • controls inventory of supplies
  • maintains accurate task sheet records including logging rooms cleaned, lost and found items, linen, terry, and amenities given to guestrooms
  • makes suggestions for improvements in overall operations
  • establishes and maintains close working relationships with all Hard Rockers to ensure maximum cooperation, productivity, morale and guest service
  • resolves guest issues
  • adheres to department and property policies and procedures
  • upholds the mission statement
  • represents Hard Rock Biloxi positively
